12.15.16 El Espíritu de Dios

HOOOOOOLY Cow. Wow. I have so much to tell you all about this week and basically no time to tell it all. So buckle down cause this is going to be a ride for all of us. Also, one month down!!! Can't believe it's already been a month since I've been in Utah. That just blows my little mind.

Okay, so last week on P day, we went to the Mexico Temple. totally incredible. like holy smokes it was amazing and so beautiful. I loved it so much!!! The bus ride there was quite the adventure, I'm pretty sure we almost died like 200 times. but it's all good. :)  We made it there safely and it was INCREDIBLE. Like wow.  The Spirit was there so strongly and I didn't want to leave... My little heart was so happy.  Everything was in Spanish, and I mean everything and it was just the coolest experience ever. I got tons of pictures, and I''ll try to attach as many as I can.

We had an incredible Sunday, we had 2 devotionals, one with David A. Bednar and then one later with Jeffery R. Holland. Basically it was a super powerful Sunday.  I also had to give the lesson in "Sunday School", the time we have for our district to have a lesson. It was pretty awesome, I could feel the spirit strongly.  I just hope everyone else could. Oh, we had a loss on Saturday.. President Call came in and pulled one of our Elders out into the hall and let him know that his brother had passed away from cancer.  But, Elder Martindale is doing good, he's doing his best to be happy, and we all love and support one another.  That was another reason the lessons on Sunday were so awesome.  Hermana Patino, our maestra, came back from her trip to Oaxaca (Wah-ha-kah) and she had an awesome time! It was so good to see her! I missed her so much! Tuesday we had another killer-diller-bomb devotional from Jeffery R. Holland and it was basically just fire. It was INCREDIBLE. I just love that man so much. and I am so grateful for the church leaders and their testimonies that help me strengthen mine.  They are divinely inspired and I love them so much. So stinkin' much!

The temple trip today was the best. Ever. It was so incredible. I did it without the little head set thing and I actually understood quite a bit without it. I mean, I know whats going on anyway, but I understood the words in Spanish which was awesome.  When I got to the celestial room, I had the most incredible experience... I'll have to tell you when I get home though because it was too special to share over email. I'll keep a good record in my journal though, no worries. Lets just say, the Spirit was incredible, and I received answers to my prayers.  I am so grateful for the House of the Lord, and for the opportunity we have as missionaries to go to the temple.

I am so grateful to be a part of this work, and to get to serve my Savior and King.  He has answered my prayers, and has blessed my life so much, I can't wait to share this beautiful gospel with those I come in contact with. I know that this church is true, I know it with all of my heart, no doubt in my mind.

I have loved getting to practice teaching with my companion, and I cannot wait to get out in the field and teach people for reals. I just love them already and I cant wait to meet them and teach them.

I love you all so much, and I hope you have an incredible week! Thank you for your love and support!

01.16.17 - Changes!

Hello everyone!!  I hope all of you are doing splendidly. I'm doing wonderful! I´m loving my mission so much! I love the people, I love the food, I love the mountains we have to climb everyday. The literal ones, and the spiritual ones.  I am so grateful for this sacred time for me to learn, grow, and teach. Inviting others to come to Christ has been so incredible, because everyday we do it, my relationship with my Father in Heaven grows more and more.  Changes! So last night, we got a phone call from our AP, and he let us know that we are having changes. I don´t know why, but I´m moving areas. I´m headed back up to Cuernavaca with some other missionaries. When I get more details, I let you all know why haha :)  This last week was an awesome one! Lots of teaching, and lots of growing. We also discovered that my companion has low blood pressure, and bad circulation. So she needs to get some shots for it I guess... She´s been complaining of her arms and legs f...

12.27.17 - In Cuernavaca Already!

December 27, 2016 Dear Brinton Family, We are happy to let you know that your daughter has arrived safe and sound in the Mexico Cuernavaca Mission.  She has been assigned to serve in the Sauces area in the Chilpancingo Zone.  Her trainer is Sister Rosales. We are grateful to be able to serve with her in the work of the Lord. This will be a time of much service and work that will bring growth and learning for your daughter.  We hope that her experience here will strengthen her testimony and prepare her to be a good wife, mother and future leader in the church.  Her experiences in the mission field will contribute to her development as a faithful and righteous servant of the Lord. Your love and support will do much to lift and bless your missionary.  We hope you will write her regularly, encouraging her to do her best. Together with this letter you will find a picture that was taken the first day that Sister Brinton was with Sister Ávila and me....

7.3.17 - Independence Day

Hello Everybody!  These last couple of weeks have been pretty great, and super busy.  We're still tryin to get to know our area-it's pretty big haha. But it is super beautiful here, and I love it. LOVE IT. Tezoyuca is incredible, and super green.  Basically it's the greatest.  We had our Conference this last week and it was wonderful.  The Spirit was super strong and I am loving being a missionary. I have learned so many things, and especially the last few weeks as a trainer, I feel like I've learned even more.  My testimony and love for missionary work continues to grow, and I am more and more grateful each day for the opportunity to be here.  We have challenges, but we grow so much more from them, and always come out on top. It has been an incredible process for me to see how much my companion, Sister Diaz is already progressing in her testimonies and being.  She was already an incredible young woman when she came, but now, and with ea...
