12.22.16 - ¡Feliz Navidad!

¡Feliz Navidad de Mexico!  Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, and can really feel the Spirit this season.  It has been so incredible being a missionary and being so close to the spirit all the time. He is literally my best friend and I have loved every minute of it.  This Christmas season has been especially special to me because we get to focus even more on the true meaning of Christmas.  This last Sunday, we watched "To This End Was I Born", the video of the life and Atonement of Christ.  I had seen it before when I was younger, but as a missionary, it just hit me harder than it ever has before.  I could feel the Spirit so strongly, and my heart was filled with so much gratitude.  My testimony grew sooo much, and I just wanted to go out and share with everyone the message of the Gospel.  After we watched the video, we had a district discussion, where we talk about it, share our feelings and thoughts and what not.  I didn't talk for

12.15.16 El Espíritu de Dios

HOOOOOOLY Cow. Wow. I have so much to tell you all about this week and basically no time to tell it all. So buckle down cause this is going to be a ride for all of us. Also, one month down!!! Can't believe it's already been a month since I've been in Utah. That just blows my little mind.  Okay, so last week on P day, we went to the Mexico Temple. totally incredible. like holy smokes it was amazing and so beautiful. I loved it so much!!! The bus ride there was quite the adventure, I'm pretty sure we almost died like 200 times. but it's all good. :)  We made it there safely and it was INCREDIBLE. Like wow.  The Spirit was there so strongly and I didn't want to leave... My little heart was so happy.  Everything was in Spanish, and I mean everything and it was just the coolest experience ever. I got tons of pictures, and I''ll try to attach as many as I can.    We had an incredible  Sunday , we had 2 devotionals, one with David A. Bednar and then one

12.8.16 Temple Trip on Pday

Hola!! Guess what?!? We get to go to the Mexico Temple today!! SO PUMPED. Seriously cannot wait. We are leaving here in a little bit, and won't be home in time to email later, so that's why we are emailing now. This past week has been an awesome one! If you haven't seen the Christmas Devotional by the first presidency, I suggest you watch it! It is incredible! And the music was totally awesome. I have loved every minute here! And the frequent devotionals that we have just make it better! So super awesome experience this last week, the other morning, I really just wanted to stay in bed cause I had a headache and wanted to sleep 10 minutes longer, but I got up and got ready.  I felt like a zombie going to class, and when I got there, we always begin our mornings with a personal prayer before our personal study, so I got down on my knees and offered a prayer to my Heavenly Father, I had so many questions for him, and just wanted to talk to him about how I was feeling,

12.1.16 Bronchitis and Spiritual Thoughts

Okay, really quickly, before every one has a heart attack, it wasn't me that got Bronchitis. One of the Elders in my district did, and the poor thing has been sick for the past week.  No one else is showing symptoms so that's a huge plus! He is just starting to get better too, so hopefully in a couple days he'll be back to himself.  Yesterday, our P-Day got switched because we had Immigration stuff today, which was totally a blast!  But yesterday, we all had the most incredible experience.  Our awesome maestra (teacher), Hermana Patiño had us watch a video, and then pretend the main character was our investigator.  The man in the video had addictions, and had done some pretty bad stuff, but the spirit was so strong when we were all teaching each other.  it was absolutely incredible.  I am so grateful for all of the experiences I've had here at the CCM, and everyday, there are more and more experiences.  Many times the spirit has testified to me that what the spirit i

11.24.16 - Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello!!! Wowza!! The coolest week and a half of my life. Totally cant believe I've only been here for this short amount of time. I feel like I've been here for forever. The CCM is incredible!! The food is delicious, the people are so nice and the spirit is so strong. I am so grateful to be here to learn. I know this gospel is true and I am so grateful for what the Lord has given us. The first night I got here, around 7 pm , we had a devotional that just blew my little socks off. I could feel the spirit so strongly just arriving. When I put on my placa/badge on for the first time, I still felt like me, but I no joke felt like I could take on the world. After the devotional, I met my companion for the first time, Hermana Walmer. She is from California and the sweetest girl here that I know. I just love her to pieces. We have already helped each other so much and the Spirit is always so strong when we teach. It's so incredible!!! Just last night we taught a lesson on the law
