12.15.16 El Espíritu de Dios

HOOOOOOLY Cow. Wow. I have so much to tell you all about this week and basically no time to tell it all. So buckle down cause this is going to be a ride for all of us. Also, one month down!!! Can't believe it's already been a month since I've been in Utah. That just blows my little mind.

Okay, so last week on P day, we went to the Mexico Temple. totally incredible. like holy smokes it was amazing and so beautiful. I loved it so much!!! The bus ride there was quite the adventure, I'm pretty sure we almost died like 200 times. but it's all good. :)  We made it there safely and it was INCREDIBLE. Like wow.  The Spirit was there so strongly and I didn't want to leave... My little heart was so happy.  Everything was in Spanish, and I mean everything and it was just the coolest experience ever. I got tons of pictures, and I''ll try to attach as many as I can.

We had an incredible Sunday, we had 2 devotionals, one with David A. Bednar and then one later with Jeffery R. Holland. Basically it was a super powerful Sunday.  I also had to give the lesson in "Sunday School", the time we have for our district to have a lesson. It was pretty awesome, I could feel the spirit strongly.  I just hope everyone else could. Oh, we had a loss on Saturday.. President Call came in and pulled one of our Elders out into the hall and let him know that his brother had passed away from cancer.  But, Elder Martindale is doing good, he's doing his best to be happy, and we all love and support one another.  That was another reason the lessons on Sunday were so awesome.  Hermana Patino, our maestra, came back from her trip to Oaxaca (Wah-ha-kah) and she had an awesome time! It was so good to see her! I missed her so much! Tuesday we had another killer-diller-bomb devotional from Jeffery R. Holland and it was basically just fire. It was INCREDIBLE. I just love that man so much. and I am so grateful for the church leaders and their testimonies that help me strengthen mine.  They are divinely inspired and I love them so much. So stinkin' much!

The temple trip today was the best. Ever. It was so incredible. I did it without the little head set thing and I actually understood quite a bit without it. I mean, I know whats going on anyway, but I understood the words in Spanish which was awesome.  When I got to the celestial room, I had the most incredible experience... I'll have to tell you when I get home though because it was too special to share over email. I'll keep a good record in my journal though, no worries. Lets just say, the Spirit was incredible, and I received answers to my prayers.  I am so grateful for the House of the Lord, and for the opportunity we have as missionaries to go to the temple.

I am so grateful to be a part of this work, and to get to serve my Savior and King.  He has answered my prayers, and has blessed my life so much, I can't wait to share this beautiful gospel with those I come in contact with. I know that this church is true, I know it with all of my heart, no doubt in my mind.

I have loved getting to practice teaching with my companion, and I cannot wait to get out in the field and teach people for reals. I just love them already and I cant wait to meet them and teach them.

I love you all so much, and I hope you have an incredible week! Thank you for your love and support!

01.16.17 - Changes!

Hello everyone!!  I hope all of you are doing splendidly. I'm doing wonderful! I´m loving my mission so much! I love the people, I love the food, I love the mountains we have to climb everyday. The literal ones, and the spiritual ones.  I am so grateful for this sacred time for me to learn, grow, and teach. Inviting others to come to Christ has been so incredible, because everyday we do it, my relationship with my Father in Heaven grows more and more.  Changes! So last night, we got a phone call from our AP, and he let us know that we are having changes. I don´t know why, but I´m moving areas. I´m headed back up to Cuernavaca with some other missionaries. When I get more details, I let you all know why haha :)  This last week was an awesome one! Lots of teaching, and lots of growing. We also discovered that my companion has low blood pressure, and bad circulation. So she needs to get some shots for it I guess... She´s been complaining of her arms and legs f...

01.30.17 - Don't Forget to Pray

Hola de Mexico!  I hope you all are doing great :)  This past week was pretty awesome. We had a meeting with our Presidente and he shared some incredible things with us.  It was for my generation of missionaries, just to see how we're doing, and to give us some more advice on how we can be the best missionaries we can be.  I also got to play the piano for it, both were hymns I had never heard of before so that was an adventure. A very rough one at that. But the meeting was incredible. I learned so many things, and how to become an even better missionary.  My testimony of prayer continues to grow and grow more each day, and I know without a doubt that He hears us when we pray with our hearts.  I am so grateful for the love and comfort we can receive by offering our hearts to him.   My companion and I had some awesome, and super spiritual bonding moments this past week which is always the greatest thing ever.  I love her to pieces and I...

2.15.17 - Hola Amigos!!

Hello everybody! So sorry I didn´t get a written email sent out last week. It was kind of crazy.  And the time we`re given just flies by haha. We are doing awesome here in good ol Chilpo.  I love my area so much and I love the people. Everyday it`s getting a little bit hotter, and the work just keeps getting better and better. I love getting to serve the Lord at this time, and I love the people I´m serving with.  Just lots of love!! :) And the food is wonderful. hahha at this point, I can handle the spicy foods a lot better than my companion... and she´s from El Salvador. I´m not entirely sure how spicy they like the food there, but she doesn´t like too much spicy here. So that keeps it interesting :)  Oh my heavens, one of the members here makes tacos in the evening for a living and hoooooly smokies. Literally the best tacos I have ever had in my whole life.  SO GOOD. just had to share that with you :) The past couple of weeks have been wonderful. We´ve...
