01.09.17 - Mexican Hot Chocolate

Hello all!!

I hope all of you are doing wonderfully. I am doing great! It has been an awesome week and I have learned even more! It's so awesome having a native as a companion, because my Spanish is improving a little bit more and more every day. Or she's just able to understand what I'm trying to say and it's actually getting worse. Not sure ;) haha. But it's been an awesome week!

We had one of our investigators come to church this week!! YAY!!! Her name is Areli Avila and she is a doll. She's 14 years old, and has 3 dogs and 2 cats. And she loves church! So that's super exciting. I also got to teach someone about the Book of Mormon, IN ENGLISH. I don't know why cause he spoke Spanish, but he was fluent in English too and wanted to hear about it in English. It was so weird.  Probably the most words I've said in eng. here the entire time I've been here. He was a street contact, so we were standing in the street, but the Spirit was so strong!!! Holy smokes. It was incredible.

Last night my companion and I had a super incredible heart to heart, and the spirit was so strong then too. Like wowza. It was incredible.  She has taught me so much, and I have learned so much from her. I am so grateful for her every day, and for her love and kindness. Sometimes she tells jokes in Spanish, and I have no idea what she's saying, but the laugh she has after telling them makes anyone laugh. It's absolutely hilarious haha :) Love her oodles.

OH! cool thing! So Elder Azael Rodriguez is from Springville, and is our District Leader. And Elder Kade Carter is here too!! It's so great knowing people here from back home! haha just something to let you all know :)

I will send pictures once I get a camera cable, but until then, I love you all oodles! And am so grateful for all of you!

Love Hermana Brinton

01.16.17 - Changes!

Hello everyone!!  I hope all of you are doing splendidly. I'm doing wonderful! I´m loving my mission so much! I love the people, I love the food, I love the mountains we have to climb everyday. The literal ones, and the spiritual ones.  I am so grateful for this sacred time for me to learn, grow, and teach. Inviting others to come to Christ has been so incredible, because everyday we do it, my relationship with my Father in Heaven grows more and more.  Changes! So last night, we got a phone call from our AP, and he let us know that we are having changes. I don´t know why, but I´m moving areas. I´m headed back up to Cuernavaca with some other missionaries. When I get more details, I let you all know why haha :)  This last week was an awesome one! Lots of teaching, and lots of growing. We also discovered that my companion has low blood pressure, and bad circulation. So she needs to get some shots for it I guess... She´s been complaining of her arms and legs feeling tingly,

2.15.17 - Hola Amigos!!

Hello everybody! So sorry I didn´t get a written email sent out last week. It was kind of crazy.  And the time we`re given just flies by haha. We are doing awesome here in good ol Chilpo.  I love my area so much and I love the people. Everyday it`s getting a little bit hotter, and the work just keeps getting better and better. I love getting to serve the Lord at this time, and I love the people I´m serving with.  Just lots of love!! :) And the food is wonderful. hahha at this point, I can handle the spicy foods a lot better than my companion... and she´s from El Salvador. I´m not entirely sure how spicy they like the food there, but she doesn´t like too much spicy here. So that keeps it interesting :)  Oh my heavens, one of the members here makes tacos in the evening for a living and hoooooly smokies. Literally the best tacos I have ever had in my whole life.  SO GOOD. just had to share that with you :) The past couple of weeks have been wonderful. We´ve been teaching lots of p

01.30.17 - Don't Forget to Pray

Hola de Mexico!  I hope you all are doing great :)  This past week was pretty awesome. We had a meeting with our Presidente and he shared some incredible things with us.  It was for my generation of missionaries, just to see how we're doing, and to give us some more advice on how we can be the best missionaries we can be.  I also got to play the piano for it, both were hymns I had never heard of before so that was an adventure. A very rough one at that. But the meeting was incredible. I learned so many things, and how to become an even better missionary.  My testimony of prayer continues to grow and grow more each day, and I know without a doubt that He hears us when we pray with our hearts.  I am so grateful for the love and comfort we can receive by offering our hearts to him.   My companion and I had some awesome, and super spiritual bonding moments this past week which is always the greatest thing ever.  I love her to pieces and I am so grateful for her.
